Dr. Christine Skubisz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at Bentley University. She earned her B.A. from Purdue University, her M.A. from Michigan State University, and her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. Her postdoctoral fellowship was completed at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Skubisz has held faculty appointments at the University of Delaware, the University of Illinois, the Tufts University School of Medicine, and Emerson College.
Her research examines how message design shapes emotional, cognitive, and behavioral responses in health communication and patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR), interdisciplinary areas that integrate communication science, public health, and social psychology. She studies how communication can improve health and well-being or lead to unintended negative effects.
